Scandinavian Treehouse

Located in a secluded neighborhood overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this property has a beautiful view and backs up to park land and hiking trails. Our clients wanted a home that is simple, yet elegant—a beautiful, modern home overlooking the ocean. With one of the homeowners originating from Denmark, the design challenge was to create a home that fits the relaxed mood and environment of Laguna Beach, yet has the clean lines and aesthetic of the Scandinavians.

We worked with the new architectural plans by Anders Lasater Architects and expand beyond what was there to tell a design story that resonates with an elegant yet organic vibe. The desired outcome is something that is sophisticated and biophilic with warm wood tones, modern silhouettes, and a casual livability.
