When it comes to furniture, 2019 will be a big year for rounding out those corners on your sofas and lounge chairs. Many designers have been taking inspiration from the 1970’s in the form of bring back that chic sense of style of living rooms from that era. A big reason for this trend making a recurrence is that they can add a sense of softness to a room by eliminating harsh edges entirely. They also are great for use as a room focal point as well as creating a contrast between the natural straight lines that make up your walls and other furniture. The color of green is making a big resurgence in 2019 and we fully expect more and more designers to find new and interesting ways to incorporate it into their schemes. In the proper amounts, green is a great color for conveying a sense of calm and serenity. Many designers are finding themselves using green to give a bathroom a sense of freshness, invoke the spirit of nature into a kitchen, and diffuse the feeling of stress in a living room. Commonly being referred to as the ‘fifth wall’, statement ceilings are a way to completely change the emotion of a room without having to change a single thing about the rest of the area. Changing the color of a ceiling can create a wonderful contrast throughout the space as well as change how light rests underneath.
